How to get there

The gallery is open Monday-Friday 10.00am - 5.00pm and Saturday 12.00am - 5.00pm
The exhibition features new paintings and wall and floor-based sculptures and two large-scale installation pieces, Metropolis and Streamline, made from found and recycled birch ply and wood.

Architectural influences on Colin's work include the drawings of Erich Mendelsohn and Frank Gehry and the floor-based models of Superstudio, the avant-garde Milan-based architectural practice of the seventies.

"I am interested in the whole aesthetic of early Modernism, however my work embraces imperfection and explores the symbiotic relationship between the measured and the intuitive.

My work also deals in the relationship between intimacy and the monumental. I have always been fascinated by the way in which a simple idea or sketch, which begins in the mind, can become a monumental structure which you physically enter, or in the case of Metropolis and Streamline, which can potentially fill an entire gallery."
